SVT-610HLF 6x10 Bass Cabinet
This Ampeg cabinet is considered a world-renowned Classic
Series Cabinet with a durable and reliable bass enclosure
and not to mention the high quality sound they produce. What
more is there to say, it has six ten inch speakers, ported,
600 watts power handling at 4ohms... this provides a variety
of fat, rich tones! The tones are much cleaner, less "boomy"
and covers much more of the midrange than the 8x10... overall
I would say it has more a defined, mondern sound and is definitely
more portable than the 8x10.
Currently, I'm playing a Warwick Thumb 4-String bass thru
this Ampeg cabinet and I can get just about any sound out
of it. I'll say it again this is a great cabinet for modern
players who are looking for that Hi-Fi sound. It's almost
as powerful as the 8x10 and is ported to get the super lows.
I truly believe it was built for gigging... completely durable,
you can fit it in the back seat of just about any car, and
I'm able to handle it by myself with the skid rails, kickplate,
and handles.
Speaking of gigging, I play with this cabinet twice a week
and it always gives me the power and low end that I need.
The sound can really fill any size venue. All in all, I don't
see any reason to buy another amp for quite sometime.
